The Polk County Sheriff's Office and local law enforcement agencies are investigating a trend of vehicle burglaries that involves purses being stolen from public parking lots in areas where victims are known to leave their belongings, such as gyms and parks.

The suspect seen here is wanted by the Lakeland Police Department and the Polk County Sheriff's Office. In the PCSO cases, she smashed three vehicle windows at South Lakeland gyms on July 22, 2022. There were three additional burglaries at parks in Winter Haven, Lake Wales, and Lakeland, on July 28, 2022.

On July 28th, the suspect stole a purse with credit cards from Simmers Young in Winter Haven, and then used the stolen card at the Dollar General store on Recker Hwy. Video surveillance photos of the suspect in the store can be seen here.
